Abiodun Jimoh Lights Up With Somewhere In The Dark

Superbly spurred by the win at the last Africa Magic viewer's choice award, the duo of Abiodun Jimoh and Jumoke Odetola have entered into the oven a movie dough which Abiodun Jimoh says will make all their previous efforts look like child's play. And these previous efforts includes the award earning Binta Ofege, hilarious soap, Kilanta which is in its 6th season among others.

 In a press release received by your Popcorn radio - Guguru FM, Abiodun Jimoh who is the producer and director of the new movie revealed that the title is SOMEWHERE IN THE DARK and is presented in both Yoruba and English languages. Furthermore, he described it as a thriller with a storyline like never seen before.
It features Gbariel Afolayan, Jumoke Odetola, Omowunmi Dada, Uzor Osimkpa, Jumoke George among other talents.
The intriguing thriller is set in the heart of Abeokuta, Ogun state capital, Lufodo and Baale villages which are in Odeda local government area in Ogun State.

The film shoot which lasted 8 days did not go without some unusual but charging events.

SYNOPSIS
Jide Meshinoye (Gabriel Afolayan)'s  missing the day he was supposed to be buried. Karina (Jumoke Odetola, Jide's wife) is also not found. It is apparent that Karina has stolen the corpse of her husband, for a reason unknown. The Meshinoye's family is unsettled, the police are restless and the devil is about to be awakened from the deepest part of hell

1. JUMOKE ODETOLA'S ACCIDENTS
On the first day of shoot, Jumoke Odetola fell and had a sprained ankle. With bruises and inflammations on her legs, she carried on. Urging the entire crew that the show must go on. As if that was not enough, the makeup artiste accidentally gushed a makeup chemical into Jumoke's eyes, this had us visiting the optician at Healthplus, Oke-ilewo, Abeokuta

2. GABRIEL AFOLAYAN'S NEAR FATAL ACCIDENT
On the last day of shoot, Gabriel's front tyre detached from the mechanical arms holding it. This happened on motion and it was a scary experience for Uzor Osimkpa, another actress in the car who just had a major accident with her car. Luckily, no one was hurt and the car was fixed in no time

3. UZOR OSIMKPA VS THE PM
Uzor Osimkpa, an energetic actress had a major face-off with the Production Manager (Yusuf Olohungbebe). Yusuf believed Uzor lacked respect for elders but Uzor proved that respect is not about bowing, prostrating or calling everybody Brother this or Sister that. It was a h eated argument on set but the director (Abiodun Jimoh) and veteran actress Jumoke George were able to resolve the issue before it got out of hands 

4. THE DEVIL IN THE DETAILS
In the reincarnation scene, a lot of spooky events took place behind the scene and at one point, every member of the cast and crew is scared. They had a  feeling that some unseen agent were among us
