Freeze And The Pastors: Pastor Gbolahan Ayodeji Throws Rare Advice

In the midst of the growing tension and flaring of Pastors in response to the acts and words of Freeze, a popular Nigeria broadcaster, an unassuming Pastor recently via a Facebook post on his page, gave a comprehensive insight into the whole issue. Although he didn't particularly mention that he was referring to the issues on the ground, it won't be out of place to imagine where his inspiration is from. Here is what he wrote on Facebook,

Pastor Gbolahan Ayodeji

 ACCUSATION is one of the SUBTLE trap and TACTIC the ENEMY uses against the Church (Revelations 12:10). That is the devil's major and primary assignment.

GOD never accuses His Children, never! He outrightly frowns at Sin and convicts the believer to be reconciled to Him. Interestingly, he never accuses brethren to brethren as well(John 8:1-11).

One simple definition of ACCUSATION is condemning the flaws of your fellow brethren. If God doesn't condemn as we sometimes do, then we have no right under heaven to condemn whosoever might have gone astray, the situation not withstanding (Hebrews 9:27, Romans 14:4, Romans 8:34).

The devil accuses(Revelations 12:10) but Jesus intercedes(Romans 8:34).

ACCUSATION no doubt is a bait the devil employs to disunite the Church. It is common to see brethren accusing brethren, children accusing their parents, husbands accusing their wives, the young accusing the old, members of a congregation accusing their pastor, all these ought not to be!

Let's stop helping the devil fulfill His mandate by accusing ourselves.

To stop the virus of ACCUSATION from spreading in our congregation or family, the following snippets may be helpful;

1. We must daily intercede for one another( Exodus 17:10-12, 1Timothy 2:1-4).

2. We must avoid party Spirit and division by all means. To add verisimilitude, continual fellowship with the Saints is crucial. (Hebrews 3:13, Hebrews 10:25, Matthew 12:45)

3. We must ask God for thorough cleansing and purging as a Church or as a family by confessing the misdemeanor of ACCUSATION (2 Chronicles 7:14-15).
