My Love For The Yoruba Tradition Made Me Venture Into Anchoring Traditional Weddings – Baba Jeje
Baba Jeje is a popular self-styled comedian, actor and television producer. He has featured in numerous traditional weddings mostly in South west Nigeria as an anchor; in the Yoruba parlance popularly referred to as Alaga Iduro or Alaga Ijoko; a terrain which is mostly handled by ladies.
A devoted Christian, he says his exploits in anchoring events in the Yoruba language has endeared him to the rich, famous and powerful in Yoruba land and beyond noting that he never had an inkling of the power and gift GOD entrusted in him with the talent.
An actor and entertainer; Baba Jeje has featured in popular Yoruba soap opera – Kilanta. In Kilanta, he acted as himself managing music hip-hop sensation Peter Gas (Kingsley Momoh) alongside his previous manager, Miss Linda and famous fuji music star, Alabi Pasuma Wonder.
Recently, Baba Jeje ventured into TV production with the production of comedy skits some of which are at the final stage of post-production while others are already on youtube and showing on television stations across the country. Baba Jeje says his productions are in a way, responding to the yearnings of his fans, friends, colleagues and family members who felt it was long overdue for him to have a production focused on the character Baba Jeje.
Baba Jeje (which means the gentle father) is single and he says he isn’t searching yet as he is married to his career.
