Majek Fashek Is Dead

Nigeria's reggae super star is dead. His death was announced on his official Instagram page by his manager Omenka Uzoma Day. He urged Nigerians not to mourn but celebrate the legend. He said further details would be released later. Majek Fahsek bust into limelight in the late 80s with the hit track Send the rain from the album titled "Prisoner of conscience" with other hit tracks like Genesis, Holy Spirit. Alittle over a year back, Nigeria lost Ras Kimono another icon of the conscious music band whom Majek celebrated during a special program at the COSON house in Ikeja.

Majek Fashek has gone on to be more than a Nigerian brand but a global brand of the reggae music with many hits including Majek Fashek inna New York, I and I experience etc.
