At least 10 persons lost their lives when a bomb exploded at a world cup viweing centre in Damaturu, capital city of Yobe state, Nigeria. The explosion was said to have been caused by a bomb thrown into the centre by an unknown person who ran away as soon as he thrw the bomb. However, another story says that the explosion was the work of a suicide bomber of the terror group - Boko Haram.
The attack which has come under global condemnation has been accused of the death of over 15,000 persons in 5 years. According to reports, over 13 persons have been confirmed dead and 12 wounded which includes children. The Federal government has advised people to avoid gathering in public to watch the World Cup, concerned about potential attacks.
